The flagship event of the promotional consortium I Vini del Piemonte, has been for years a reference point for Danish professionals and wine lovers, who, on Friday June 9th 2017, as every year, will crowd the halls of the Børsen in Copenhagen – the ancient seats of the Stock Exchange – to appreciate the wines of more than 40 different Piedmontese producers and the best in Italian food production: it will be the ninetieth consecutive edition of the Barolo & Friends Event in Copenhagen. The exhibition will largely follow the winning format already proposed over the last eight years: a session dedicated to the trade sector and two others open to final consumers, with in depth thematic workshops to present the best wine and food production of Piedmont. The event is supported by the Italian Embassy in Copenhagen.

For its importance and notoriety, the event has been chosen from the institutions as an occasion to promote Piemonte in Denmark: Torino and Copenhagen are, in fact, closer thanks to the new airplane links operated by Blue Air. During the session open to the public there will be a press conference addressed to tourist operators and journalists entitled: “Experience Torino and Piemonte with Blue Air!” that will be attended by Regione Piemonte, Città di Torino, Torino Airport, Blue Air, Turismo Torino e Provincia, Ente Fiera del Tartufo, Ente Turismo Alba Bra Langhe e Roero and Consorzio Turistico Langhe Monferrato Roero.

On June 10th, after the Barolo & Friends Event in Copenhagen, there will be a wine dinner at the Italian restaurant Ché Fè, featuring excellent Italian cuisine paired with the great Piedmontese wines, in presence of the producers.
